Far too elaborate. Anything could happen.

I used to work in the steel works during summers when I was a student. One time I saw a helium balloon bobbing about. I was bored so chased after it. I missed it a couple of times then it floated up and got caught on a tower. I climbed up to get it. I could reach the balloon, however, the string was nearer and seemed easier to grab.

I grabbed the string.

The balloon detached itself and, with its reduced payload, floated high into the sky.

Moral you want the balloon, you grab the balloon,

You want to talk to the girl, talk to the girl.
