That's fucking weak man. This isn't about game, forget game. This is about friends. As I understand it friends don't try and fuck each other over, whatever the situation.

By disagreeing with this statement you are saying that your friends can be total pricks to you forever and you'll just take it. Eventually you have to say 'Dude, that shit is unacceptable. Never treat me like that again' and that's better said sooner rather than later.

Have some respect for yourself. If you wouldn't treat another person the way you are being treated by others, don't accept that behaviour.

I'm really not that aggressive, when you have genuine respect for yourself it emanates from you so you don't have to be aggressive (as long as it is inside you people won't test that). Do you know how many of my friends I've lost when I've told them their behaviour is not acceptable? None, not one. In fact in every case it has brought us closer.

Letting people treat you like shit and not saying anything is inauthentic.

I'm sure I'm stating the obvious to most on here but this kind of behavior is usually a desperate, flailing, attempt to get involved in the interaction. It comes from a place of neediness.

A mate see's you in an interaction with some hbs. He doesn't have the balls to open himself. He is acutely aware he is standing like a chode while you are doing what he wishes he could.

He then works up half a testicle ,comes over, and tries to be high status and funny, by bagging you out to the girls.

Of course you now both look bad.

It would be a lot better all round if he just came over and said "Hi". However that would be an honest, putting your ego on the line, commitment to the interaction. It's much easier and risks less to wander over acting like you don't care, like you are above the situation, and take the piss.

To be honest I got this a lot in the past but very rarely anymore, my close friends wouldn't do it, they're not perfect but are past the point of pulling shit like this. I think if it happened I would say to the guy straight out "Look mate, if you want to come and chat to the girls with me that's great but don't fuck up my shit". They'll act like they don't know what you're talking about but I would hope it would get the point across. Remember, if you're opening they want to be in your good books.

If this didn't work they would have to get a bit of an ego damaging talking to.

Ks post reminds me of the old Mandela qoute "There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you."

It's not just a matter of them being a chode that is the point here. It's them being a selfish crap mate to you. Through what seems like jealousy to me, if they do what they did to Hustler then it's time to give them a bollocking... or not go on nights out with them.

its just a tad frustrating when someone does this value-steal, but somehow manages to actually get the close you were looking for....!!!!
