I was out with this girl last night. She falls into the category of being extremely attractive but extremely boring. Being men, we dont really give a shit about that as we will quite happily have a beautiful woman on our arm regardless of there dullness.

Anyway.

We went a few different venues, got pissed and ended up in a trendy club full of hipsters. I have always known and been aware of pre-selcetion and have witnessed the effects of it many times in the past, but last night. Fuck me. It was insane. I was litterally pushing woman away from me, last count I was approached 8 times, thats 8 times a girl actually coming over to me and starting to chat me up (right under my girls nose) of course I'm not a inconsiderate bastard so told them kindly (if not begrudgingly) to leave me alone. One instance: my chick went to the bar to buy us a drink (standard) and this trendy short haired chick pounces on me. It went like this:

*Boom!*

Hipster Girl: "Is that your girlfried?"

Me: "No, were just hanging out."

Hipster Girl: "Can I take your number then?"

Me: "I dont really give my number to strangers"

Hipster Girl: "Well do you want mine?"

* I see in the corner of my eye my woman coming back from the bar so I make haste*

Me: "Look, under different circumstances I'd love to stand around and flirt with you all night, but tonight dear I am taken"

*I grab her and kiss her on the cheek just before "my woman" clocks it*

A lesser man might have played that differently. I'm not gonna be a cock, at the end of the day I had agreed to escort this girl for the night and a gentleman I shall remain. I get approached on nights out for sure, but Jesus, you wouldn't believe, the same thing happened at least another half dozen times after. On the dance floor, I was dancing with my chick and this girl behind me kept grinding against me. I ignored it until she started pulling on my shirt (I fucking hate that) and rubbing her hands on my chest. I could see my girl was getting visibly upset, so I decided to call it a night. We went to hers and I made up for what was actually quite an embarrassing evening.

However, it was extremely interesting....

Nice work jaz i have had the same experience before of being in a club dancing with an attractive woman most of the night and have had other woman trying to grind against me and pull me away from her and try to talk to me when we were leaving. very interesting post jaz.

Crazy how pre-selection effects the girls mentality and responses to men, that she would just offer her number. It in infuriates me, sometimes, the fickleness of it. It is how it is I guess - PUAs may get a bad rep from the mainstream, yet this proves, we ALL have to play this game.
