So, this is my first field report on this forum. I have been aware of pick up for a while but only recently have I started to give it more time and attention to really start to sort out this area of life. Anyway, here goes the first FR.

I was recently on holiday with two friends, both are aware of pick up so were decent enough wings. They lack my level of knowledge of PU but both have better natural game for sure.

The night in question we were sat having a few drinks at an outdoor square type area that was surrounded with bars, plenty of tables and the music wasnt too loud, what i consider to be a perfect environment for sarging as I struggle in clubs where the music is ridiculously loud. There are a few sets about that we are aware of but before any of us open, this drunken guy starts talking to us and everyone else in the area one by one (no approch anxiety, fair play to him for that) about random shit such as a drinking game he won where he drank is own vomit, scars from stab wounds and other stuff that gives him no value at all! So my one wing goes to the toilet and leaves the two of us talking with this guy, as he returns from the toilet instead of re-joining us, we notice he starts talking to the 4 set of girls sat next to us. We later established he opened them saying 'Is that your friend harassing everyone with his stories?'. So we swiftly wrap up the conversation with the guy and wing our friend!

Upon joining the set we get into conversation pretty easily as a group and naturally rate the girls, a HB5, HB6 and two HB8's possibly 8.5's (one blonde and one brunette, the brunette was my target). Although we were chatting as a group I consciously made an effort to talk to the 5 and the 6 and sometimes the blonde 8, whenever my target tried to get my attention I would give short blunt answers and continue talking to the others, she seemed to continue to try and get my attention which I took as an IOI. The conversation continued fairly naturally without any set/canned routines, managed to DHV by talking about our recent trips to Vegas which got some good responses. We eventually parted ways and told them which club we would be ending up in that night. As we left them we discussed the set, the wing who opened the set was targeting the blonde 8, myself and the remaining wing both targeting the brunette 8. Some friendly competition!

As the night progresses, we go into a few more bars, drink some more, talk to a few more sets and stay in talkative mode. We then make our way to the club we told the set about and low and behold they are at the bar when we walk in. IOI. Myself, now knowing I face competition, re-approach the set but now I am paying most of my attention to the target. I was a bit drunk so forget some finer details but I know I refused to by her a drink, she bought me one! I eventually invite her to the dance floor where I get the K-close. I notice my wing with the blonde 8 as he planned., The other wing now talking to other girls in the club.

Eventually, with the 5 and the 6 from the set left alone, my wing somehow left his target (who he K-closed also) and the three of them manage to prize my target away. Bummer. But a good lesson learnt that ignoring the target initially, works. I had read this previously but nothing beats first hand experience.

I think you did pretty well actually mate. Getting drunk where you don't remember shit is probably something you should avoid if you're lookin for chicks.

Yeah I definitely need to not drink as much from now on, bit of a catch 22 in the past to get some dutch courage initially but getting too drunk. I can recall at least one time where it cost me a likely full close, although that was pre-PUA days!

Yeah man. I find the best method is to just casually drink, 2 or 3 over the course of the night and try to stay at that happy stage
