What is it with angry jealous guys at rock clubs??

Bristol Weekend (Friday)

Still, good work craigus.

Yeah it was a great night on Friday. I don’t normally frequent rock clubs, but it was cool that place. Thank you Craigus for organising and congratulations on the girl. She was cute! Good to see all the other guys that made it too.

The biggest thing for me was how normal this and Bath/Bristol were last week. What I mean by that is it didn’t feel like a PUA night, which is good. I have been on too many nights out where I feel stressed out and don’t end up having a good time, because everyone is so paranoid about the fact they are gaming.

The fact that Rebus brought a girl along too (she was hot – good job man!) is also a great sign and this is the direction I want our group to move to. Not going on weird/creepy ‘Pick Up’ nights, but going out and being socially awesome so if we want we can invite girls or even our non-PUA mates along too without it feeling weird. I’m still not comfortable talking about Game or this forum with ‘outsiders’ (hmm that sounds a bit more cultish than I meant!), but who knows this may change too.

I did worry that it was maybe because I didn’t do any gaming that it felt so normal, but looking back I was in conversations with different people all night, mainly girls. It was just so easy to open and have conversations. Maybe it was the environment of a rock club?!

Out of all the chatting though there was only a couple that I really fancied from memory, which is a shame and could also be a factor why I found opening and vibing so easy!

The first was the cage dancers who Johnny B and I got chatting to outside in the smoking bit. Later on in the evening I used a new technique called the ‘break the fight up opener’ in front of one of them! I instantly regretted it as it turned out the guy I was strangling was the guy who had been with her earlier. We went in the other room and I apologised to him. He seemed a bit miffed understanderbly. The girl didn’t seem too fussed though and explained how one of the guys had touched up the girl and that’s how the fight had broken out (a sick part of me really wanted to touch her up as she was telling me this just to see how she would react). It also turned out the guy was her fella, so I decided to bail. Choking a guy and then trying to steal his girlfriend is not cool behaviour!

The second girl was the mate of Craigus’ girl. She was cute as hell. We were initially hitting it off, but I dropped the ball unfortunately. I had brought my camera along after seeing Monkey and BCB do this in Bristol (plus I’ve been meaning to start taking more pictures anyway). Anyway it was amazing the reaction it got. It just seemed to up the fun level loads and then Johnny B was taking photos of me and the girl kissing each other on the cheek and other flirty things and it rose the sexual tension dramatically. Unfortunately it was short lived. I said something along the lines of ok now a proper kiss. You could see in her eyes that she suddenly became aware of what she was doing and she said ‘no not in front of my friends’.

We then went to the dance floor and we were dancing with Craigus and his girl too, but it was a bit weird to be honest. Every time we got a bit closer she would want to hold her mate’s hand. I could feel the moment of sexual tension has gone. I should have recognised this really, as I did then sort of become the guy who was hanging around. However, no worries, as it was good to try and help Craigus out with the annoying guy friend of his girl. The guy wasn’t so bad really, just obsessed with his female friend and couldn’t handle her pulling someone. Anyway long story short he was sorted, Craigus went back with his girl. I got nothing but a few life lessons that I will share with you now….

Lessons Learnt

1. Cameras seem to build attraction a heap. I must admit I have been deadly against any form of routine or PUA gimmick the last couple of months, as I have being trying to do ‘natural game’. However, I think I’ve almost regressed back to where I was before doing this. The problem with been too ‘natural’ before you are ready is you can just slip back to the way you were. I’m not about to do magic tricks or where a pink dildo on my head or anything so I think my paranoia of not been natural enough is unfounded! Props, games, lines, wearing clothes that makes you stand out is all cool as long it is you still and not a mask covering up the real you.

2. I’m not sure if telling a girl to give you a real kiss is a good idea. I’ve kissed a lot of girls in my time and I can only remember one successful time where I tried to instigate it through words rather than sexual tension and feeling (and even that 1 time there was sexual tension and feeling so it probably wasn’t down to the words!)

3. Really happy with the way my social circle is going with you lot. Lets build on this!

4. I chatted to the fittest girl in the club this weekend and last in Bristol. Neither went amazingly well, but I am going to make a conscious point of trying to do this every time I go out gaming!

Final Note
I was also speaking to a girl with a masters in Psychology who thought foot fetishes and spanking fetishes have very little to do with your childhood. This goes against everything I have heard about the psychology of these fetishes. Any thoughts on this?

Totally agree mate - I don't get apprehensive about goin sarging anymore, because my expectations have moved from "I MUST PICK-UP HOT CHICKS" to "I'm going out to have a fuckin good time with my buddies... and while I'm there, I'm gonna talk to some hot chicks"

The ironic thing is: the less you think about game, the more fun you'll have, meaning your game will undoubtedly be better.

Good reports guys, was good to meet you all, you are all cool and sound guys. I was quite absorbed by the live bands playing and so kept going off and doing my own thing so sorry my participation levels weren't that great.

When I was reading Craigus' report I felt a sense of deja vu and it's interesting Cefai that you should bring that up. I think with orbiters generally and perhaps more so at rock clubs they tend not to have many options, or lack the self esteem to create options for themselves so they become infatuated with the girls within their social group.

I'd be up for heading to more Rock venues again, but im equally up for your more main stream fayre as well.

Like Snake Eyes said, it felt good that we could just hang out as cool, chilled sociable guys rather than feeling the pressure to 'perform' which can sometimes be associated when a large group meets up. It would be good to get to know one another as genuine mates to hangout with as opposed to 'pick-up' being our only common ground.

Also good to meet Rebus and his girl she was nice and seemed to really throw herself into the music and the night as a whole.

It was a good fun night for me as well, although rock clubs are not my usual scenery I really enjoyed the music. I agree with the whole 'have fun' night and don't have any expectations, most of the sets didn't really hook, but still had some friendly chatting.

GG Craigus for your set, I have to agree about that douche orbiter, he was a bit defensive with me as well at some point, but it wasn't much he can do, it was just friendly chat.

Moment of the night, me and Snake Eyes having a friendly chat to this Russel Brand look-a-like (although I noticed per Snake's suggestion he was a bit tanned), and then a fight comes to life in front of us. I don't really get involved in fights so was a bit surprised to see Snake Eyes grabbing one of the guys and disappearing in the other room while the fight was still going on. It was the wrong guy he picked but it actually gave us the initiative to use the 'fight' opener quite a few times

It was nice to meet Hustler and I agree that it would be good to get to know people without the whole 'pick-up' thing as common ground and feeling the pressure to 'perform'.
