I'm completely fresh to this, so expect plenty of hilarious posts about spectacular failures.

I'm looking to join a group, I'd just rather do it with people rather than on my own, "where are you friends" umm.... There not into pick up, they think it's sleazy so they won't come out?

We've got a good group of guys here in London - I've not been doing this for long and started with probably same experience level as you (god, that sounds really nerdy! Like a successful close garners you exp points to level up or something! lol), anyway, since getting out with the London crew it's been going great!

Where abouts in London are you? North/South/East/West?
