Default Tattoo - 17-01-2010, 06:52 PM

I am considering getting a tattoo. The song Be Safe by the Cribs is one I listen too a lot at the moment, and am trying to live by the code of 'Open All the Boxes' and don't let anything pass you by.

So, I was thinking of getting a tattoo of the lyric 'Open All the Boxes' somewhere on my body. I have no tattoos yet, but may get one (this, in itself, is a case of opening boxes).

I would appreciate people's thoughts on the following questions:

1. Would getting a tattoo reading 'Open All The Boxes' be:

a. Really cool and original (yes, like Doritos)?
b. Tacky, shit and lame?

2. If you chose 1a, where should I get it?

a. Inner forearm
b. Top of my back, across my shoulder blade
c. Upper arm, on my shoulder
d. Chest

Just get on with it please

If you really find it really cool and you're not doing it to impress others, do it! I would say inner forearm? But do what you think is best

Agreed with sapmi, I though for ages and ages about what I wanted to get and ive kinda got it down but still not sure. A good tip is to get it transfered and see what you think after a week of it.

if you relate to the words then do it, but make sure you do a lot of research on artists before hand, dont just rock up to your local tattooist and get it because your mate got one of him cheap, theres a big difference between a good tattooist and a bad one.

BAD. He will take your sentance ask what font you want then google it, place the stencel anywhere then blow the lines out with his chinese tin machine,

GOOD. he will take your sentance get inspiration from the font you want then work it with the flow of your body using artistic skills to make it come to life and give you a tattoo you will never regret.

anyone with a health certifacate can open a tattoo shop so its worth paying that extra few bob to get a good artist.

try to be original too then your tat can never date

Here's a pretty cool idea for a tatoo

"Is it wrong for a man to love his guitar?"

"It is if he puts his balls between the strings, and strums himself to ecstasy!"
