If your having problems uploading an avatar, then follow Jaz's simple guide to creating your very own super special magical avatar.

1. Find an image! You can use google images or go to a site like http://www.avatarist.com/. Or if your really creative, create your own.

2. Download the image to your desktop.

3. Go to http://imageshack.us/

4. In the top dialog box, click image, then browse. Direct to the image on your desktop then click ok.

5. THIS IS IMPORTANT: Click the checkbox that says resize image. Make sure it is on 100x75 (avatar), then hit upload.

6. When it is uploaded, you need to copy (ctrl c) the direct link URL.

7. On PUAforum, click on User CP at the top of any page. Then down the left side of that page click Edit Avatar.

8. On this page is a dialog box for a URL. Simply paste (ctrl v) your URL then click save changes.

BINGO WINGS! So simple even a slightly retarded child could do it.

Try now. BBCode can now be used in sigs.

Don't have the dialogue box in the edit avatar windows to paste the URL into.. All it says on there is Your current avatar with a radio button that is checked that says do not use avatar... no other options.

I have the same problem Retro had.

There is no dialogue box on the Edit Avatar screen. Only a radio that says 'Do not use an avatar' which I can not de-select.

i get ' Unable to save image ' image is about 4k!

I think there's a DBWrite issue at the moment. vBulletin is pounding out "unable to save image" on an upload and "unable to save due to a temporary write issue" when using a URL link.

FYI, I've done some looking around and it appears that the issue is that the servers /tmp file is full.

Tw1sted, you might want to do a dump of the tmp folder so that people can add profile / avatar images.
