I am currently selling advertising space over the phone to busineses in the UK

I can do the exact same job from spain BUT ... i want to travel spain for a few months before i settle SO...

I need a mobile means in which to contact UK businesses

It needs to be

CHEAP
GOOD SOUND QUALITY
GOOD CONNECTION (no connection breaks mid call)

Most calls are to mobiles SO:

Does anyone have any advice on


A) Internet phone technology

B) the type of internet connection needed for this to work (as id have to choose hotels based on this factor)

c) How to keep cost down or any low cost providers

d) any alternative means in which i could make contact

I really would appreciate coz i think travelin spain would be sick... but i can only do it if the tools for work are available

Skype is probably best bet, it's easy to use, good quality. You do need a 3g connection on your phone or a broadband connection nearby to use it. You can get a Call UK contract with skype for £3 a month, that makes it free to call UK Landlines and a few p to call mobiles.

You probably need a voice makeover too!

Joking aside: BT does £5/month for free calls to most Europe Landlines, UK and Aust. Im not sure if Spain does the same. Worth checking. Failling that, Im sure you can get access numbers to call any landlines/mobiles in the world for a few cents.

Im thinking hotel firewalls will be heavily restricted... so it more the internet accesibility options i need to think about.... is there any way of portable high speed broadband?

You may be ok using a hotel broadband.It depends a lot on tbeir setup so you'd have to experiment, but skype is an option.

I wouldn't trust 3G. It will give you a fucking headache.

Have you tried Googling for cheap mobile voip solutions?
