Anyone know anything about cars?

Specifically alloy wheels.

I had a tire changed on my my car yesterday and the bloke said it was a buckled wheel. He said if you cant get a new wheel (i cant) then you need to get the alloy sorted.

At the time I didnt question it. But what did he mean by get the alloy sorted? So is it possible to get an alloy straitened?

I know you can repair a curbed alloy by floating it down into an electrolysis bath or something so a small industry of alloy repairs does exist, but a structurally buckled one, personally I'd never be convinced it's stable under cornering or braking even if you can get it done.

If it did let go at a later date, the insurance may not pay out too.
