I've got a phone interview this week. Any tips from people who have recently been interviewed or have interviewed others?

Job is financial and in Caribbean. Anyone experience in this field or location?

Remember... This job has been your lifelong ambition, it is everything you want to do, it is the perfect career path for you in the perfect location working with perfect people. You believe you'll be an asset to them. You have skills x, x and x that will be invaluable to their company and you'll be a fantastic team player.

When you're asked what your weaknesses are, you tell them you're a perfectionist which sometimes gets in the way of work because you have to fight your desire to do something as best as possible in order to meet deadlines.

You sell your business acumen and ability to free think without strict management. You give examples to back this up.

You feed them absolutely everything they could ever want in an employee and you do it with a great big smile on your face.

Be as covert as possible. Sound like your not even paying attention, Act like you don't even want the job.

Then just keep asking questions about why they would be a good company to work for

Out of no where start telling them something awesome you did years ago. Don't forget to neg the shit out of the interviewer on their accent.

If that doesn't work it was probably a stupid place to work anyway.

Should I use a false time constraint?

I can't stand corporate pandering, all this drivel about dressing up a strength as a flaw, it's transparent. Next thing you'll be suggesting you like to play frisbee team building with your colleagues in the park, they'll see right through this kind of thing, and everyone will be doing it. Demonstrate ruthless ability and be respectful, I'm with Jay there, but be respected and liked too. A little wit here and there, you know, a little oompf. He's the guy they will remember from the masses. If you get the job I want invites to the caribbean, and to be supplied with a grass skirt and coconut bra wearing hula girl who will waft me with a palm leaf all day to keep my beer cool.
