if its just not on your road. A colleague at work had the same problem all he did was set up ten or so emails and enquire apparently if they get a certain amount the will install it on your road.
This was years ago thou don't know if they still do new installs.

Well the road I will be moving to, does not have cable services at all, only BT phone lines...
But the main road that links to that road, does have cable services. with 20Mb according to virgin media.
So theoretically, its easy enough for them to do. Just probably not cost effective. Mobile dongles are slow, BT lines are slow, and its not even close to a town to get new fibre...
I will take a look at making some random enquiries to them about that street and see what happens

I'm thinking of buying a wireless receiver from DealExtreme, they have like 3KM distance on some of them... Just break some wep keys, and see what happens
