That bass was fucking amazing. Understated and not at all like the way some artists use it "BASSSSS BASSSSSS BASSSSSSS LISTEN TO THE BAAASSSSSSSS". Powerful but not obnoxious.
I'm a massive fan of music that tells stories without the use of lyrics. I can't listen to music with vocals while I work because it distracts me too much and I tend to prefer music that's played opposed to diced together by DJs or the like, it feels more visceral and real, I get a stronger connection with the musical emotion.
With that said 65daysofstatic are incredible and this song is one of those songs that builds and builds, great if you're on a downer, you can't not get sucked into the build up.
Along the same lines but at the opposite end of the spectrum and in an entirely different genre, Giorni Dispari by Ludovico Einaudi makes me cry. Every. Fucking. Time. I'll think I'm fine for the first couple of minutes until the piano hooks me in right before it escalates and builds up. I really think he's one of the greatest composers of our time. Nuvole Bianche is also well worth listening to. Contemporary classical at it's simplest but most effective.
And lastly, sticking with the "sonic therapy" theme going on here, Muse's version of feeling good is another build up song that you can't help but get caught up in. Matt Belamy adds so much emotion to everything he touches. The only problem I have with Muse is that they're getting consistently worse with every album since Absolution. They're trying to be far too "progressive" and need to take a step back and go look at the absolute power in their original style.
I like talking about music that gets me emotional. Can you tell?
65dos - Not for me. I didn't rate their drums or the ding-ding-ding piano chords. Especially hated the guy chatting shit about economics in the middle.
Ludovico Einaudi - Woah there. I like my wrists slash-free thanks.
Muse - Hate Muse. Listened to the first minute. Know the tune, see where they are going, don't want to go their especially not with them.
Your music taste makes sense with the type of person you are, there were even fucking doomsday stats in it you freak. You need to get some hairy-backed, big bollocked, sweating and bleeding, I am man hear me roar music down your audio-pipes.
Sounds gay. Mostly I was amused because there were stats. in one of the songs.
Peace,
kowalski
I hadn't even noticed, must have been the 65dos one? I tend to glaze over any words in their stuff as just another musical device opposed to having any vocal meaning.
