At work in the office, I wear long sleeve shirts and tie.

No matter which shirt, which deodorant, or how "cool" i try to be all day, I always end up sweating !!

And depending on the shirt, sometimes it leaves a patch and its horrible.

Anyone have any advice? I'm going to try a short sleeved shirt tomorrow

Lose weight. Thin socks, arteries in feet warm your body, cool feet equals cool body...stick feet in tub of cold water if don't believe me. Non-toxic de-oderant like Pit Rock to make the skin more healthy and less clogged up with aluminium and other shit.

Alternatively, become lifeguard.

I bet you could buy sort of pads to put inside your shirt and absorb the sweat. Anybody here use armpit tampons?

Rebus reccommends.... SureMen as the marketers allege that it "works at 58 celcius, the hottest temperature recorded on earth... split second reaction... 48 HR protection" so it must be true. And, amongst other bands, SureMen is one of those I use in partciular. It seems to work. The other anti-pespirant brands seem to work as well.

What is a truism for me is anti-pespirant is way better than deodorant

If you want a smell, then use aftershave alongside anti-pespirant --- no crappy deodorant


Finally in my (antipespi)rant, we should comment on the marketing of the Lynx deodorants!(Hot birds running up to you, female nympho angels falling from sky) It's all bullshit! Deodorant = sweating, for many men.


PS just to mess up the above line in red, Wikipedia claims that antiperspirants are "a subgroup of deodorants" I don't see it that way.

Here's the science, dude! At Discovery Health "What is in an antiperspirant that stops sweat?" -- note that it distinguishes between distinctly indpendent concepts of "either deodorant or antiperspirant ", unlike Wikipedia which categorises as sub/super relationship.

Hmm, well I said "deodorant" just to generalise the sprays. I usually buy Rightguard anti perspirant, but I still end up sweating in the day..

I have used lynx before and can confirm its crap, makes you sweat more so you use more lynx and buy more lynx and use more lynx and sweat more and etc...... We shoul boycott it, its a huge load of bollocks. Yet people always buy it me for xmas!

I use Sure for Men sticks, it's not with the guy stuff like lynx, its usually on the general deodorant isle, has a grey bottom and green lid. It's pretty good, designed for sensitive skin too though not 100% perfect.

Alternatively if you're willing to spend a little money say £6-£10 you can buy aluminium based deodrants, the best I found was Driclor. I found it stung a little when i first started using it but you never sweat! and I mean never. I went to a rave in a bus station basement where it was rammed wall to wall with people dancing, grinding and sweating their tits off and the only bit which wasn't sweating were my pits. Also it's so good you only apply it once a day.

In my travels of not sweating and not leaving stains in my shirts from antiperspirant ive found from personal experience and the experience of a lot of guys - bodybuilders that Mitchem is the best stuff there is and it doesnt stain your shirts
all supermarkets should stock it--give it a twirl.
