Scraping websites is pretty straight forward. De duping should be just a case of the right unique key setup in a database

What programming languages do you know ?, I could maybe knock something up to get you started if you tell me what it is you want doing.

Scriptlance.com / Freelancer.com

Simply explain the project, give a rough budget and let the bids roll in. Then pick someone you feel can do it and speak English well enough at the same time.

All payments go through Escrow so disputes are easily resolved. Any programmer worth their salt will let you test their work on their own private server to prove it works before releasing it to you upon your release of escrow funds.

While I have had projects take a little longer than desired I find it's generally easiest thing to do.

i want a program to run through a business database

lets say for instance a local web directory

and just every day search all buldiers in each area, then all electricians, then estate agents and so on, then collate that data into an excel spreadsheet

then leave the non - dupes each day!

i want to be able to do this with about 5 diff sites.

now thats alot of searching for a man to do, but a bot should be able to do that in what? half an hour? an hour?? it dont matter ill happily leave a pc on at home for that sole purpose

This is exactly the kind of thing you'll find freelancers putting bids in for. While people here have some tech knowledge you really need to find some specialist knowledge when it comes to detailed site specific scraping such as this Phil. Put a project up for it and see what you get back, I wouldn't expect you to have to spend more than 50-100 for this. Your needs are quite specific.
