Might be 18 I can't remember, but there was a documentary about this.

Willingness to donate has plummeted as as result. Couples now have to resort to going abroad as donors are frightened of the consequences and stocks in the UK are extremely low.

i researched this before because a female friend of mine is running out of time to conceive and shes is single--so we discussed me making her pregnant and then staying anonymous and would obviously end the friendship
