This is a great book. It's about how certain aspects of capitalism and capitalist societies and culture especially a certain brand of selfish capitalism that the Yanks love to pedal, depend on keeping most of the population unhappy, insecure and needy.

No great revelation in itself per se, but there's some interesting stuff in there. Especially in relation to sex relationships and consumption.

Really interesting read. Anyone here read it? Any ideas on how it relates to sex pick up, social worth, self esteem etc?

Parts of the book deal with concepts of social proof (social media/fame) and how certain strands of capitalism depend on conditioning us to process our social value through material things/possessions.

I think for many here success with women is linked to our self image and to our sense of self worth (is or has been or whatever)...so the book is defo an interesting read, in relation to pick up, social dynamics etc and of course in general as just a fucking good book.
