Fuck yes "The beat my heart skipped" is great film. Seen the directors new one "A Prophet" on Friday.

There's not much pick up about it but it's also class. The father from Beat plays a Corsican gangsta.

"Beat" is a remake of "Fingers" with Harvey Keitel, not so much smoking, but worth checking out.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is on Film4 Monday @ 9.

Broderick is brilliant as Ferris. Ferris lives Natural Tim's philosophies of being in the moment, woo energy state and being solely motivated by the answer to the question 'How do I make this fun?'

And it's a great movie too, definitely in my list of favourite films ever.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is on in an hour.

If you haven't seen and you're not going out, you must watch this.

I didn't realise this was on, or else I'd have stayed in and watched it.

As it happens me and a mate went to the cinema to watch Invictus. A thoroughly disappointing, Hollywood-sugar-coated cliche of a film.

Think Cool Runnings meets Armageddon, add in some frankly rubbish rugby scenes, and you're pretty much there. Morgan Freeman is getting some plaudits for his portrayal of Mandela, but I really don't think Nelson Mandela is a difficult character to play. Hardly a subtle role to get right.

On the other hand, a week on from seeing it, I have changed my mind about A Prophet. Its actually a pretty good film, well put together. And the casting is first class. Eventually well worth the admission fee - once I got over the shit date that went with it!!

Just get on with it please

You know, I'm watching Wedding Crashers right now on E4+1... And the opening sequence seems to have plenty of good PUArtistry in it!

Notice in particular how these guys are always right at the very centre of the fun. It follows them around. And they don't home in on the girls they like - they speak to anyone and everyone, become the most social guys at the party, and only then turn their attention to the women, who fall into their arms (ok so its a movie... But its pretty much spot on what the PUA industry teaches).

Just get on with it please

Representing. Saw this the other night!

Loved this bit - 'I am not going to sit on my ass as the events that affect me unfold to determine the course of my life. I'm going to take a stand. I'm going to defend it. Right or wrong, I'm going to defend it.'

Plenty of potent messages in this film.
