Default Smart/Casual - 18-04-2011, 02:20 PM

I didn't know where to put this, so I thought, well its to do with being in a social situation, sociology.. so I put it in this area of the forum.

Tomorrow and wednesday, I am on a training course, paid for by work, for learning Microsoft Project.

The dress code is SMART/CASUAL. I don't know what this means. I've never been given this dress code. I've googled it, and yet I'm still no better off.

What dya think?

most courses if they specify a dress code put this. i wouldn't worry about it its just to make sure people don't turn up in tracksuit bottoms, etc

the below should be fine

shoes, smart jeans, jumper or tucked in shirt.

I go to these sorts of things all the time and just wear what I like. I wear what I like to work too, so it is in keeping with my expected appearance.

I'd wear business dress for an outsourced training course only if I wore business dress to the office as standard and there were due to be some of my colleagues there.

The company delivering the training don't care.

Peace,

kowalski

Does that mean that heels and a ball gag are smart casual then?
