Who are we to judge?!

I wonder what you think - to me, I'm less attracted (and perhaps slightly frustrated) by girls with a large sexual past.

This is hypocritical mind - and I in some ways I don't think it's fair or logical.

I could lie to them, and to myself, to give my frame more sexual openness, but I want to keep lying out of my game.

Really, this preference only matters for committed LTR girls - for MLTRs it doesn't matter too much.

But there are surely other reasons for this preference:

Evolutionary perspective: find a girl who has had little or no sex before – 1) because she isn’t already pregnant, and is less likely to have a STI; 2) past performance indicates future performance – if she has had casual sex before (from meet to sex in only a short time), she could do again – thus risking infidelity!

[yes, contraception does change this, but I don’t think it changes the preference].

And ultimately, no-one wants to buy a second hand car, right? A car that has been driven dozens of times (and driven heavily).

I don't care about girls' sexual history.

The only sex I care about is the stuff they have with me. I want that to be good, and her to be open and adventurous.


I wonder whether it is even known if there is a correlation between number of sexual partners and infidelity. I certainly know of examples of the opposite. Girls and guys who have had a lot of sexual partners and never had sex with someone other than their partner whilst in a monogonous relationship. And, girls and guys who have had very few sexual partners and have cheated on their partners.

You and I are prime examples of people who have had a high number of sexual partners and never had sex with someone other than our partners whilst promising them monogony.

I think this is an emotional thing that I can do little to help. A girl I'm seeing now told me 'you're only the 3rd guy I've slept with' honestly, it was music to my ears.
