So I've spent today trawling across the internet but can't seem to find anything decent.

Can anybody recommend a no-nonsense book thats the dogs danglies for CBT?

Also a similar book for NLP wouldn't go amiss if anybody knows?

Don't know any books on CBT. What's your interest in that?

cbt and subsequently nlp, are a complete joke and waste of time

CBT has proven effects and does not make claims beyond what is proven. It has a known level of effectiveness that cannot sensibly be denied.

CBT does work, actually.

its lovely not having to worry about my thoughts anymore

such a nice feeling knowing that there will never be a point in my life where i have to read up about cbt in order to make myself feel better

That would be good, if it were true.

It is not how you come across. Way too much aggression in your announcements, it obviously isn't how you say or you wouldn't respond like that.

You'll need to convince yourself before you can successfully convince anyone else.
