Too true. It's either first or third week are big quitter times, getting a girlfriend is also a major quitting point.

It took far too long to work out how to best stop quitters on my courses, turns out it's stopping the quitters from joining in the first place by being extremely open about the commitment and effort it takes.

Even then I still get the occasional week one quit, no big deal though.

No one book can teach you everything and thats not to say you should read every book on the subject, fuck what you think whos asking you.
