In addition, don't do anything just for practice, do it to meet people, do it because you like people, or do it because it's fun. Don't do it just to get some practice in. If you don't want to do something then don't do it but admit to yourself when you're holding yourself back. Find a balance, there will be times when you do need to force yourself to stop making up excuses and ruining a night or times when you just need to make the most of it, there will also be times when you shouldn't bother forcing yourself to do it if your heart isn't in it though.
