I just wanna know is NLP worth getting into??

I have got the books:

"The NLP Brain Builder: Self-coaching Strategies for Surviving and Thriving" by Wendy Jago

&

"Change Your Life with NLP: The Powerful Way to Make Your Whole Life Better" by Lindsey Agness

I havnt read them yet, but i have read a shitty, 80 page "introducing NLP" which gave me fuck all.


Is NLP easy enough to get into?

Whats the best way to begin it?

Do u just start mirroring people or what?

ross jeffries for me was a huge help in NLP. mainly because alot of the stuff i was listening to was geared at medical approach, i wasnt in the proffesion so i didnt get it

all of a sudden i listened to him and he put it into a context i could get. therefore everythin fell into place

it helps in life & sales

Knave I'm surprised that you put something up taking the piss, I'd have thought that you'd be bang on the NLP in pick up.

I'm that kinda funky guy plus I'm tired of sharing material that works I've decided to not give a fuck anymore and post youtube videos, short condescending replies and mindless bollocks that nobody without a degree can decipher

I wasn't taking the piss, I was actually being serious, to be honest I think NLP in pick up is a little creepy, but that's my opinion, others will disagree. To be honest if I wasn't always so bothered about doing the "right thing" I'd probably use it myself, I find it's therapeutic benefits incredible, I've even done some simple stuff on my mother to help her with learning the piano(diminishing limiting beliefs about innate ability)

So a couple of people have taken the piss out of you, this is a forum with a supposedly common goal, but people have different visions and ideas about how things should be done. There will be some people on this forum that are likely to appreciate material you post, so in doing do you'll deny them the wisdom you may have been able to impart upon them. So if your intention is to just think fuck it, why bother at all?

Keep contributing and deal with criticism (something I need to get better at myself)

Fair play Phil, we each have our own views and standpoints, I can see how powerful it is. I will admit, as you've pointed out, that I'm often too uptight, this manifests in several ways, one is indicated by the quote below. (Actually the way I right makes me sound so much more uptight than I actually am, but still too uptight a lot of the time)
