I've been volunteering at a charity for people with mental health conditions for the last 6 months. I am usually with 2 Asian girls (one Muslim and one Sikh) and we have chatted alot and seem to get on well and have some banter and study the same degree. I'm white british btw.

I am leaving soon though to concentrate on uni and so are they and I sort of feel like i'll miss them and want to ask for their numbers but terrified it'll be weird or they'll say no.

Are Sikh and Muslim girls even allowed to give their phone number to a white guy? They even said they don't really talk to anyone else on their course and live at home from uni.

Should I phrase it in a more academic way such as "let me know how you go on!"

I'm scared of rejection but guess if it's my last day then I won't awkewardly have to see them afterwards!! I've never asked an Asian girl for their number before and i'm considering asking two!!!

You, my son, have had it. If you're scared of being rejected by a woman, you'll never pull her. Work on this fear of rejection. Why are you so concerned about being rejected? What consequences will it have? You will still be a man, you will still be you, and you still wont' be fucking her. Fear of rejection is unnecessary.

I don't know, i'm scared it'll be awkeward. It'll make me feel less of a person, kind of knock my confidence. Also , my mum works there so she may find out and laugh! There's two women so it could be twice the pain/rejection! I don't know whether their religion forbids it as I read Sikhs aren't allowed to date so I may insult their religion or something, or go against it or something by asking.

Your problem is you are outcome dependent. Secondly just ask for phone number cause you want to. She is Asian you are white that should be the last thing in your mind. When it comes to rejection remember the cliché, rejection is not personal. Be honest and upfront if you want to ask her out, do that rather asking for phone number.

To be hoenst i'm going back to uni and will be far away from them so don't think it's a good time to start a relationship. There are two girls and i'm thinking of asking them both together, as I won't ahve chance to seperate them. Dude all the barriers are in your mind. This is the result of social conditioning. If you think they are just any British girls they gonna behave like a just any british girls.
