A mini after report regarding that night

We both had to cut it short and just go the cinema instead of a meal

We both drove and met at the cinema separately. Watched the movie then both went home.

Bits of kino leading into the cinema and chit chat. Wasnt really getting any "connection" or positive vibes. felt like she was holding back and not being her self. had my hand on her leg through parts of the film.. nothing back. not even her hand on mine etc..

Walking out the cinema i become abit nervous ( not normally me ) and she could sense it. chatted about shit and work ( yes work.. :@ ) gave her a hug and we left ( wtf did I give her a hug )

We have texted each other since and its just old same boring shit. Im going to let this one go and learn from my mistakes

- let the girl know my intentions of interest before arrange to meet
- Dont give arkward hugs
- Dont give a shit!

I forgot to say.

Apart from maybe going to an slaughter house, the cinema is pretty much the WORST venue for a date. Think about it, how in the fuck can you make a connection with a girl when your going to be sat in silence, watching a film for two hours? Well, you cant. It is boring, lazy and a total cop out - that is why guys take their girlfriends there.

In future, take them somewhere you can have a good old chin wag, somewhere interesting and unique if you must.

The girl sounds as nervous as you. I think part of this may be down to the fact you work with her and she is concious of "what gets back to the office". Like I said, I think work romance is a bad idea but that is just my opinion.

Props for going on the date, but by the sounds of it, it was terrble. I wouldent pursue it, as I dont think it can be pulled back, you have set the pace so it will probably be months before you get anywhere near her knickers.

try saying to her,

"look i dont want everyone in the office talkin, so whatever goes on outside work, can we keep it between us" try doin that by text.

this does a few things,

make her feel ur not gonna be talkin, assumes somethin is gonna happen, but doesnt directly mean sex.


if she gives u an earfull about how its not like that, just say, calm down was refering to stuff we do together. personally i think she is also nervous like jaz said.
