Our you already know you are going to win before the game begins. Then it doesn't matter what may be at risk in principle, because pragmatically there is no risk.
In my profession I trust myself (and the competition is a joke).
Peace,
kowalski

That's the realisation that there isn't a risk. That's the case in your job/situation/experience but not the case for trainers in the example you chose..
You agree with me on this K.

Through your own repeated words, PUA is a lie and people should not buy into that lie.
The unfortunate position of being a trainer is that you have to represent the "PUA lie" as you like to put it.
We both know that's not possible. Failure happens. Success is not possible 100% of the time. Failing in front of trainees is however also not acceptable, at least within the company I worked with.
Now, the issue with this formula is that it's impossible to remove the fear without no longer caring about failing. That however doesn't work because if you don't care about it any more you don't really care about doing the job.
So instead, you learn to control and shut out the fear. It's not gone, it's managed. For other examples, sports psychology comes into play, fear is always present in any situation that you actually stand to lose something you give a shit about in. It's not possible to erase that fear, it is possible to control it though. You do not stand to lose something in things that you are 100% (or perceptionally feel you are) successful in. Otherwise, there is fear. The experienced manage that fear. It is not gone.

It is a show business.
You don't actually have to do, just have the customer see you do. I realised that was easy.

Ejecting wasn't acceptable for trainers under the company I worked for underneath the concept of plowing until completion.
It all invited failure. Ejecting on positives would indeed make it easy, merely showing off a small success before obvious failures. That wasn't possible in the setting created by the company I worked for.
Different experiences under different circumstances.

Yes, Jay. You fucked every girl or you got sacked.
Don't be a dick.
You were afraid. Not everyone is. Some people believe in themselves and think 'this is going to be piss easy'.

The over confident "this is going to be piss easy" guys were always the ones that nose dives the fastest. When things don't work out for a person that has that kind of self belief their deluded world caved in.
Granted, that's my experience, I can see your point.
Phil. That's generally the track followed by them these days. The sales line might imply anyone but they are extremely quick to point out otherwise now, almost as often as you'll see most of them speak.

I'm one of those guys, so far so good. Things become easier when you think they are.
Peace,
